"Age Acceptance within the European Community"

Valueless Companies? Without a strong increase in age-acceptance companies are running “demographic risks”
Dynamic age structure simulations have shown that, bearing current demographic development in mind, the continually increasing average age of the workforce can no longer be compensated. Companies therefore face new risks. Those responsible are often aware of this, but still believe that by simply employing younger people they can improve this situation – a valid aim, but one which can no longer be realized. In the future companies will therefore be forced to operate with older employees. Companies now face the self-inflicted problem caused by their past ‘externalising strategies’ and the corresponding reinforcement of (negative) age stereotypes. These have continuously destroyed the value of ‘age’ as can be seen in current age (non-) acceptance. The value of age must be given a new position and must be implemented as a norm for all employees. Age acceptance must therefore be regularly monitored and embedded in sustainable improvement.
We have got already more than 700 responses from Germany and few from abroad and we would like to extend our survey to all other European countries. So we will have the unique chance to provide a considerable data basis for a rich variety of cultural backgrounds.
Please attend this survey to help us finding out the real situation of age acceptance within the European Community.
